Thirsty Americans reveled in the authentic rum Joe brought, but the risk was all his. It took quick helm work and a quicker boat to outrun the law always in his wake. And he drank it in. Time after time he’d slip his high-speed runabout into a cove, dark as pitch, and deliver the goods, leaving the Coast Guard chasing shadows on the sea.

Tasting Notes

Finish: Long and warming, with a lingering blend of sweet spices and soft oak. A final touch of vanilla and a hint of toasted spice leave a pleasantly dry, satisfying finish.
